It should work on SL. I just don't have a SL machine to try it on, that's why I selected "Unknown". Have you tried it?

Okay, thank you! In the meanwhile, you might want to try version 1.2b, since there's no binary to compile. It uses the built-in afplay to play the sound.

no, use Clover and HDA patch ?and config.plist or?for Chameleon?enabledHDA, sorry mi inglish.

Edito: Creo que lo entenderás mejor en castellano al menos yo lo diré mejor, uso Clover y el patch para el HDA al vuelo, también uso Chamaleon de vez en cuando y entonces con un HDAEnabler sin problemas, saludos

FYI...this only works with Internal Speakers. If your custom patched AppleHDA does not contain Internal Speakers in system preferences, it'll not work. Should work with MB{censored} versions of AppleHDA!!!!

Can you please include the source for the?Carillon bin file as well as I'm guessing that includes a sound file?

The source of the bin file is on GitHub, it's actually main.m. The "sound" is in ChimeData.m

Edit: I worked out why its not loading.. Its a non-root process so its not loading VoodooHDA during boot. How can I fix this?

Causing KP on both my machines. One has only apple Cinema Display sound and the other has alc1150. Both os's so far have not been recovered and now for some reason I cannot reinstall appleintel Kext on fresh install without getting KP. If I cannot recover my drive it will take me a week to reinstall/ activate my software. Please help!! Removed the files as told and still no luck. Not even with fresh install on 2nd machine. Did this software fry my LAN card?

I'm very sorry to hear this, but I'm pretty sure that the KPs you are getting are not related to this. Especially if you've removed the installed files correctly? The app doesn't modify any essential system files, it just adds a launch daemon. If you remove the files, the launch daemon will be gone, and no traces are left over.

I installed a Realtek ALC1150 installed via MB{censored}, and I installed the non-DSDT version as my Asus Sabertooth Z87 (UEFI) motherboard doesn't really need a patched DSDT. I'm also using Mavericks 10.9 (of course).

I would love for this great program to work.. I installed it earlier and deleted the two files because it didn't work. Hopefully you can get it to work? Thanks.

I have external speakers hooked up to my back IO port if you needed that info also.
